Troublshoot Network Sahre Issue


1. Workgoup:- Make sure each Computers that you want to access is in Same Workgroup. The name of Workgroup should be exactly same on each Computer. Also be Sure to use the same case for the names (all upper or all lower). 
 
2. Homegroup:- Windows 7 introduced a new feature called a HomeGroup that automatically sets everything up so that you can share files between Windows 7, Windows 8 and Windows 10 machines. 

 
3. File and Printer Sharing:- Make sure file and Printer sharing is Turn on for the Network Adapter. You can Enable by going Control Panel\Network and Internet\Network Connections then Right Click on the Adapter then click on Properties after that Tick on File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network.

4. Correct IP Address and Subnetmask:- We are just Monitring the IP address and Subnetmask because if you are conecting Router or Swith with the Server the you have 1 IP Address and Subnetmask. And also check Default Gatway, DNS Server.

5. Check Firewall:- In my Opinion First thing is do when this type of Problem is comes then Disable the Firewall and then access the Files. And Also Disable the Third party Firewall Like Norton etc. 

If you have access files after Disabling the Windows or any other Firewall then exceptions list in your Windows Firewall and third-party firewall programs.

6. Share Permissions:- If you are getting the  same massage You might not have permission to use this network resource…Access is Denied, your problem could also be that the permissions for the shared directory are not properly set. Then set the Permission agian.

7. Local Security Policy:- Another reason to you are not be able to access file form Network is your Local Security Policy.


Go to the Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Administrative Tools then go to Local Policy/Security Policy After that Find Network access: Do not allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts and shares.


By Default Network access: Do not allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts and shares isDisabled. Double Click on the Network access: Do not allow anonymous enumeration of SAM accounts and shares and Enable it.

8. Uninstall Anti-Virus:- In the last unsistall your ANti Virus Program form youre Computer. If you have any Internet Security program such as Norton Internet Security or Kaspersky Internet Security, disable them.
